Cisco Adler Brings #Aloha to Hermosa Beach

Not gonna lie: I was surprised, confused…and a little nervous. All I did was ask Cisco Adler a few questions, and I accidently put the proverbial gun to his head. This dude would rather take a bullet than have to choose between musical icons…and that, my friends, is taking music seriously.

Who IS this Cisco Adler? One hip Malibu native: slanging songs of summer and spreading the #aloha everywhere he goes.

He’s played with many of your favorite acts, survived Warped ’08, as well as produced and recorded some pretty catchy hooks. He’s most famous for his work with Shwayze, and he recently teamed up with Philly native G-Love. However, it was time for him to spread his wings on a solo tour, and Hermosa Beach is STOKED to have him. Although his roots are in ’90s hip-hop, he has the smooth sunshine melodies that are as signature to summertime as sand between your toes.

Been in bands and producing music for a long time. After working with so many amazing artists and singing hooks and writing with some of my major influences and legends I felt it was time to step out and make a solo record and spread the #aloha 

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CD YOU EVER BOUGHT? WHY? 

Thompson Twins. It was a tape. Ha!!! Cuz my older brother had it.  

WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST MUSICAL INFLUENCE?

Early 90's Hip Hop in general. But I have dabbled in everything and i like to draw from all genres.

Maybe my environment. California and Hawaii.

ON A SCALE OF 1-10, HOW STOKED ARE YOU TO BE PLAYING SAINT ROCKE?

11...Does Saint Rocke go up to eleven? (How many times has that been used?) 

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE SHOW SO FAR?

Red Rocks with Slightly Stoopid just because that place is awe inspiring... Or Warped tour '08 any date. The energy was crazy! 

WHAT WAS A SHOW YOU’D LIKE TO FORGET? WHY?

None. I'd like to remember more than I can. 

WHAT DOES YOUR BAND VAN SMELL LIKE?

I don't know. Sold it years ago. 

WHO IS THE BIGGEST PARTIER IN THE GROUP? 

T.J. My drummer. Isn't it always the drummer?

Me. It's my name on the flyers man. Got to make sure s**t runs smooth. I'm typing this aren't I?
