Howlin Rain fit the role of classic rockers so well, it's as if they're straight outta Woodstock. However, they first played together in 2004, nowhere near the era of classic psychadelic anthems and bellbottom jeans. Regardless, Howlin Rain could single-handledly bring that generation back. When you hear them live, it's as if the '70s never left.
Their latest E.P., The Russian Wilds, is nothing short of a masterpiece. The only possible way to describe it is: if Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers had a music baby. The soulful, raspy vocals glide perfectly over the epic guitar solos, while each chorus makes a home inside your head.
