Hermosa Beach MOMS Club Selects Jasmine Faulk As Their Annual Fundraiser Beneficiary

“Live. Love. Laugh…” says 10-year-old Jasmine Faulk, a.k.a. “Jazzy Wazzy.” Her words of wisdom are especially meaningful, because they come from a girl who is fighting a rare and very dangerous form of pediatric cancer called Alveoler Rhabdomyosarcoma. Jasmine’s yearlong treatment is very aggressive and requires chemotherapy and radiation. She has met her illness with grace, strength and beauty.

In May 2013, the Hermosa Beach MOMS Club held their CANDYLAND-themed Fundraiser raffle and auction, for which local South Bay businesses donated products, services, vacations, and gifts. The club had heard about Jasmine’s struggle and decided to have her be this year’s beneficiary.

Jasmine’s father, Everett Faulk, is a police officer in Hermosa Beach. He said she is extremely grateful for the $2,000 donation raised by the Hermosa Beach MOMS Club. Everett said Jasmine told him that she thought it was so nice that that people in her local community were doing this for her.
