The Hermosa Beach MOMS Club Donates to the Hermosa View Transitional Kindergarten Program

When the Hermosa Beach MOMS Club learned that September would be the inaugural month for the new Transitional Kindergarten program at Hermosa View Elementary School, they knew there might be a way the organization could help

The Hermosa Beach MOMS Club completes several service projects for the Hermosa Beach community each year and this was to be the first of 2013. The club asked Brooke Strong, the Transitional Kindergarten program’s head teacher if she had any items on her wish list, as she was starting with limited resources.  Mrs. Strong provided them with a wish list and the MOMS Club used a portion of its Club funds to purchase items from the curriculum program. MOMS Club members also generously donated time and money to support the project.

The outcome was very well received by Mrs. Strong who said she was grateful for the donations of: wooden and plastic play food, a variety of art supplies, Mr. Potato Heads, play coins and paper money, and items from their handwriting program!
