Residents Share Election Selections
Despite a low voter turnout, South Bay residents reveal who they supported at the polls in the Hermosa Beach and Rancho Palos Verdes municipal elections Tuesday.

Patch asked residents how they voted as they trickled into South Bay polling locations throughout the day. While some voted for candidates new to local politics, the day wrapped up with largely familiar names leading the races.
Here in Hermosa Beach, incumbents Michael DiVirgilio and Peter Tucker were frontrunners in . City Treasurer candidate David Cohn clinched more support than incumbent John Workman. And voters passed .

"I hurried down here to vote for Mr. Cohn for treasurer because I spoke with him on the telephone today and I think he has some good ideas for saving money for the city of Hermosa Beach," said Hermosa Beach resident Wanda Smith.
