Bike Stolen? Call MB Cops

Manhattan Beach police might have found your property if it went missing in the area this month.

Any Beach Cities residents or visitors who have had a bicycle or other property stolen earlier this month should call Manhattan Beach police, officers urged Monday.

Police in neighboring Manhattan Beach recovered about a half dozen bikes and other items during an investigation that resulted in four arrests.

The items are suspected to have been stolen between Aug. 1-2 in Manhattan Beach and possibly Hermosa Beach, according to police.

Police on Aug. 2 stopped a pickup truck and found it contained six stolen bicycles along with some other stolen property, said Stephanie Martin of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

The four men arrested on suspicion of stealing the items were Daniel Romero, 22, of Long Beach; Frederick Caampued, 23, of Carson; Nelson Tomaneng, 21, of Carson; and a 17-year-old Carson boy, whose name was not released.

One person as of Monday has identified a stolen bike among the property found. Other victims are encouraged to contact Manhattan Beach detectives at 310-802-5120.
