Fire Team: Responding to Crash

The everyday experiences of serving the city as a fire official were captured in photographs in this two-part series as Patch spent an entire day with the last week.

In Part 1, the Fire Department received an emergency call Friday around 9:45 p.m. about a taxicab and vehicle collision near the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Aviation Boulevard. Paramedics quickly left their Pier Avenue-based fire station to aid a woman who suffered some neck pain after the accident, and officials cleared away debris at the scene.
