The everyday experiences of serving the city as a fire official were captured in photographs in this two-part series, as Patch spent an entire day with the  last week.

In Part 2, the Fire Department remains abuzz even on a quiet afternoon as officials gear up for training, fire Chief David Lantzer completes work in his office and equipment is tended to by paramedics.
