Have Coffee With the Hermosa Police Chief

The Hermosa Beach Police Department will host two events to give the public a chance to meet Hermosa's police leaders.

The Hermosa Beach Police Department will host a 'Coffee With a Cop' event Wednesday to give Hermosa residents the chance to meet key police department personnel and ask law enforcement-related questions.

Wednesday's event will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Starbuck's in the Ralph's parking lot located at 1100 Pacific Coast Highway. Police Chief Steve Johnson and Lieutenant Tom Thompson will be on hand to answer the public's questions and, accordingly, drink coffee.

Police said they will also conduct free child car seat safety inspections during the event.

An additional 'Coffee With a Cop' event will be held on Thursday, November 1 at the Starbuck's in downtown Hermosa Beach at 1303 Hermosa Avenue. The event will also run from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Lieutenant Tom Thompson and Sergeant Landon Phillips will host the November event and will also conduct child safety seat inspections.
