Hermosa Beach Crime Blotter: Several Burglaries and a Group Fight

The following information is from the Hermosa Beach Police Department:

01/13/2014 = 0713 - 1100 BLK 10th Street - AUTO BURGLARY:  Unknown suspect entered unlocked vehicle and stole photography equipment.

01/14/2014 - 1957 - 100 Barney CT - AUTO BURGLARY: Unknown suspect ransacked victim’s vehicle, unknown if locked.  Nothing taken.

01/14/2014 - 1745 - 703 1st Street - AUTO THEFT - Vehicle stolen from victim’s garage.  2012 Mercedes Benz e320. The Stolen vehicle and x4 suspects were arrested with this vehicle in Redondo Beach the next day.  The suspects are responsible for thefts and burglaries in the south bay.  Investigation is ongoing.

01/14/2014 - 0935 - 1601 PCH - AUTO BURGLARY - Victim left their laptop computer on the passenger seat of their parked car (in plain view) while they worked out.  No force used.

01/14/2014 - 1047 - 1100 10TH Street - AUTO BURGLARY -  Unknown suspect entered unlocked vehicle and stole tools.

01/15/2014 - 2105 - 311 Culper CT - BURGLARY - Stolen iPad, x2 laptops, x2 bikes from a secured garage.  Unknown means of entry.

01/15/2014 - 2133 - 100 Palm - BURGLARY - Stolen laptop, purse, and watch from unlocked residence.

01/17/2014 - 1414 - 100 Manhattan - THEFT - Unattended packages were stolen after delivered to residence.

01/17/2014 - 1020 - 1000 Aviation - ATTEMPT BURGLARY - Unknown suspect tried to force open garage lock, but was unsuccessful.

01/19/2014 - 0205 - 1900 the Strand - AUTO BURGLARY - Suspect steals laptop from victim’s unlocked car.  Officers stop the suspect with the laptop in his possession.  Suspect arrested.

01/19/2014 - 1610 - 1700 Bayview - FRAUD - Unknown suspect opens account in victim’s name.

01/20/2014 - 0157 - 1100 Hermosa - BATTERY - Large group of subjects involved in fight, no injuries.  Report taken for possible prosecution.
