Hermosa Beach Crime Blotter: Group Fight and a Phony $100 Bill

01/20/2014/ 0157/1100 BLK HERMOSA AVE/415 FIGHT

Two groups of males involved in a fight inside of business.  One group located.  All refused paramedics.

01/21/2014/0129/UNIT BLK 11TH ST/647F

Officer was flagged down by business employee advising that an intoxicated male was kicking and spitting on their rear door to the business.  Subject arrested.

01/21/2014/1036/1800 BLK MONTEREY/THEFT

Tools stolen from bed of truck. 

01/21/2014/1320/400 BLK PCH/THEFT

Three foot section of brass water pipes removed.  Replacement value over $3000.

01/22/2014/1145/1200 BLK HERMOSA AVE/VANDALISM

Etching on side window with illegible writing. 

01/22/2014/1535/2700 BLK PCH/FRAUD

Suspect phone ordered a pizza and paid with a fraudulent $100 bill when he picked it up.  Suspect then ordered another pizza while he was there and paid for it with the change given to him by the employee.

01/24/2014/1017/1100 BLK 7th ST/FIRE

Report of smoke and fire inside of location.  Fire arrived prior to officers.  A coffee pot had caught fire in the kitchen.  Minor damage incurred.

01/25/2014/1437/MANHATTAN AVE/24TH ST/925 SUBJECTS

Reporting party observed two male juveniles attempt to start a fire to a piece of wood on a property.  Neighbor chased after them but they got away.  Investigation showed a slight scorch mark on a stray piece of wood.  UTL subjects.
