It's not everyday one steps foot into a fire station but on Sunday nearly 1,200 hungry citizens did just that as the Hermosa Beach firefighters held their 17th annual pancake breakfast.
Of course, pancakes were among the fare as was live music and visits with Sparky the Fire Dog at the Pier Avenue station.
The annual charity event raises money for the Hermosa Beach Firefighters Foundation, which then is used to help local charities and groups.
