Pier Plaza Fight Entirely Outside, Police Say

Police looking for additional suspects; investigation continues into what appears to be a racially motivated attack.

Police have confirmed that the fight in which two people were stabbed Sunday night on Pier Plaza took place outside of any business, said Detective Michael Frilot of the Hermosa Beach Police Department.

A news releases issued by the department initially reported that a verbal argument began in Sharkeez. Officials now say that was not the case.

Frilot said two groups got into a physical fight after racial slurs were made.
