Cycle crash

A man was hurt Saturday after crashing his motorcycle at the corner of 4th Street and PCH around 3:15 p.m. The man was not transported to a hospital because his injuries were not serious, but the crash caught the attention of passersby. The cause remains unknown.

One Apple fan suffered a significant loss Sunday. An iPad was stolen from an unlocked vehicle around 2:15 p.m. on the 500 block of Pier Avenue. Prices for iPads start at $500.

Police are searching for the person who broke a wooden entry arm at the rear entrance of a parking structure near the Pavilion Shopping Center on the 1600 block of PCH. The damage was reported early Wednesday morning.

Burglars detained

Police stopped two suspects believed to be juvenile burglars near the corner of 6th Street and Monterey Boulevard on Wednesday. A victim identified the suspects, police said. One of the suspects was a teenager and later released to a guardian. The other suspect was an adult and was arrested on unrelated charges.
