Hiding alcohol in pants

A man on Monday stole alcohol and a tube of medicine from a local store by stuffing them down his pants, according to police reports. Officers reported that the man walked into the front door of the business in the 100 block of PCH around 11:51 a.m. Then he grabbed a 750-milliliter bottle of alcohol and an over-the-counter tube of medicine, put them in his pants, and reportedly walked out without paying for the items.

Purse snatched

A suspect snatched a woman’s purse away from her Sunday around 1:19 a.m. on Hermosa Avenue, according to police reports. Police noted that a possible accomplice was distracting the woman as the suspect grabbed the bag.

Wallet, cell phone lost at Ralphs 

A man left his wallet and cell phone in a shopping cart last week, and reported to police that he thinks they have been stolen. The police report was filed Aug. 24 around 11:25 a.m. The items were missing by the time the man returned to the grocery store to look for them.
