Police Blotter: Grocery Store Crimes

Items are stolen from a local supermarket, a house is broken into and remember to always lock your locker at 24 Hour Fitness. Patch lists some of the recent crime in Hermosa Beach.

Two supermarket thefts hit PCH, and a home and gym locker are broken into. Here is a roundup of recent crime in Hermosa Beach. 

Grabbing groceries

A woman walked out of a local grocery store Monday with several items concealed in her purse without paying for them. The theft happened around 7:44 p.m. on the 1100 block of PCH, according to police reports.

Police also reported a similar crime earlier that day around 2:50 p.m. when a suspected thief stole $54.83 worth of items from a supermarket on the 1100 block of PCH. One of the store’s officers arrested the person, who was later transported to the Hermosa Beach Police Department jail for booking. 

House Burglary

A vacation home on the 1500 block of The Strand was burglarized Thursday around 10:55 p.m. A person using the residence was home when the suspected burglar entered through an unlocked sliding door and stole several items. 

Lock your locker

A woman stole a purse from an unlocked locker at the on PCH on Thursday, according to police reports. The crime happened around 2:35 p.m.
