Police Blotter: Labor Day Burglaries

One suspected thief gets away with a bowl of grapes.

The responded to three reports of separate thefts in the previous week. Here is a roundup of the recent crimes:

Grapes grabbed

A Hermosa Beach woman Monday told police that her home on the 500 block of 29th Street was broken into around 3:30 p.m. She found the window screen removed from a lower level window in the home and a bowl of grapes were missing, according to police reports.

House burglary

After returning home from a two-day Labor Day weekend vacation, a Hermosa Beach man Monday found that his home on the 500 block of 18th Street had been burglarized, according to police reports. It was not reported whether items were stolen or their value.

Move-in burglary

Items were stolen from inside a residence on the 1200 block of Cypress Avenue, according to police reports. The theft happened Thursday around 5:21 p.m. while the residence was being moved into.
