Police Blotter: Robbed at Gunpoint

As a man walks toward his home, he is stopped by the suspect.

A Hermosa Beach man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint, and a number of bicycles have been stolen. Here is a summary of some of the crimes reported to the this week.

Street Robbery

A man who lives near the corner of 5th Street and Ardmore Avenue told Hermosa Beach police that he was robbed while walking toward his home Monday night. Around 9 p.m., a suspect exited a nearby vehicle and approached the man, according to the police incident report.

The suspect reportedly pulled out a handgun and demanded that the man hand over his wallet. The suspect also allegedly took items from the man’s pant pockets and backpack, which included cash, credit cards, and even a laptop computer. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with other occupants.

2 Bikes Stolen

Two bicycles were reported stolen from a home Wednesday on the 1600 block of Manhattan Avenue. The bikes went missing around 2:30 p.m. They were last seen in the garage of the residence. The garage was open at the time of the reported crime.

Another Bike Stolen

A bicycle was stolen Wednesday on the 500 block of Pier Avenue. A suspect cut the lock on the bike around 5 p.m.
