Held at gunpoint

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Sunday at the corner of 16th Street and Monterey Boulevard, according to police reports. The woman parked her vehicle on the street around 12:47 a.m., and began to walk southbound in the 1600 block of Monterey toward her home.

A man then approached the woman, pointed a gun at her, and demanded her purse, according to police. The woman told police that she dropped her purse and ran away, because she was scared. Police are continuing to search for the suspected robber.

PCH Robbery

A man in the 1100 block of PCH on Sunday around midnight forced a passerby to the ground, snatched the victim’s property, and ran off, according to police reports. The direction in which the man ran is unknown, and the value of the items stolen was not reported.

Dead body

Hermosa Beach police received a report of a dead body found in the 800 block of Bayview Drive on Sept. 20 at 8:50 a.m., according to police reports. There were no signs of foul play.
