Purse ripped from hands

A woman walking in the 1300 block of Manhattan Avenue on Saturday night had her purse snatched out of her hand by a man. The incident happened around 11:48 p.m., and no description of the man was provided.

Cab driver robbed, assaulted

Two men pulled a Hermosa Beach taxicab driver out of his vehicle, dragging him onto the street, and physically attacked him in the 600 block of 5th Street early Saturday around 1:30 a.m., according to police reports.

The men stole between $30 and $50 from the cab driver as well as attempted to take his cell phone. The men eventually fled the scene and could not later be located, according to police. The cab driver complained of pain, but denied medical attention from officials.
