Too close for comfort

A Hermosa Beach woman and her roommate were awakened in the middle of the night June 22 after hearing their dog bark at a man standing at their front door, according to police. The two residents didn't open the door, ignored the man and returned to sleeping. But hours later, the roommate discovered that someone had rummaged through her vehicle overnight, which was parked on the 700 block of 8th Street.
