A Hermosa Beach resident expected to receive a package in the mail Monday morning. The package was left on the resident's doorstep on the 500 block of Pier Avenue before it was stolen from the resident's home, according to police reports. The resident wants the package, and police want the thief.

Two burglars broke into an unstocked merchandise area of the Vons grocery store on Pier Avenue Tuesday night, leaving with a large moving dolly stocked with alcohol, according to police. The duo took bottles of booze from the shop's high-end liquor storage room. They filled the dolly with as much alcohol as possible and then fled the area through a back emergency door, a police report stated. Officers are still investigating the break-in.
