Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Wells Fargo on PCH

The suspect makes off with about $3,900 from bank at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Hermosa police are searching for a man who robbed the  on PCH on Tuesday.

After entering the bank at around 11:45 a.m., the man handed a cashier a note that read, "I have a gun give me the money," according to detectives.

Startled, the teller handed the man about $3,900.

The suspect took the money and fled the scene, running southwest through the parking lot toward Pier Avenue, police said.

Detectives have described the robber as a white male between 25 and 35 years old.

He was wearing a gray Volcom baseball cap, Hurley T-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt and jeans at the time of the robbery.
