Robbery Brings Helicopter to Hermosa Sunday A.M.

One suspect believed to have been involved in the robbery has been arrested; one remains at large. A helicopter and other police agencies assisted Hermosa police.

Christobal Garcia, 21, of San Pedro was arrested for an alleged robbery around 2:46 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of 21st Street, said Detective Mick Gaglia of the Hermosa Beach Police Department.

Garcia and another suspect physically assaulted a man and took his wallet. Gaglia said force was used but no weapon was found when Garcia was arrested.

The second suspect is described as a black male adult, 5'11" with a slender build. He was unshaven and wearing a blue plaid shirt and jeans when he fled the scene, according to Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch.

A helicopter from the Hawthorne Police Department and police from Manhattan Beach and other nearby agencies assisted Hermosa PD.

Another male involved in the incident told police he had been shot in the knee, said HBNW, but it was later discovered that the injury was not gunshot related after he was transported to a hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information should contact Detective Mick Gaglia  or call direct at 310-318-0348.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
