Closings to Come on Veterans Day

City government offices, banks and local services will be closed Friday for the federal holiday.

Here are Veterans Day closures to be mindful of in Hermosa Beach:

Post offices will be closed. City Hall and the will be closed, as well as and schools.

All schools in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District and Redondo Beach Unified School District will be closed.

Major banks will be closed.

There will be no trash pickup and no street sweeping. As a result, collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day.

But — with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day — all parking meters are still enforced in Hermosa Beach on national holidays.

Beach Cities Transit will operate on a Saturday service schedule.
