Driver in Fatal Collision With Motorcyclist Enters Plea
The New York man was in a Torrance courtroom Monday.
A New York man pleaded not guilty Monday to a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge stemming from a Nov. 1 collision with a motorcyclist, who died less than two months later as a result of his injuries.
Stephen Lee, 39, of Blauvelt, N.Y., was making a left turn from southbound Sepulveda Boulevard onto eastbound Tennyson Street and did not yield to Michael King, 62, of Hermosa Beach, who was northbound on Sepulveda just before 4:30 p.m., according to Manhattan Beach police.
King -- who collided with the passenger side of Lee's rented 2012 Mercedes-Benz -- died Dec. 27 at Gardena Memorial Hospital.
