Hermosa Beach Back on Top in Water Challenge

The city dropped to 2nd Place in the regional competition but makes a comeback.

Hermosa Beach is now back at No. 1 in the Wyland Foundation's Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation after it temporarily lost its frontrunner position to the city of Vernon last week.

The regional competition ranks cities based on the highest percentage of residents who take the online Water Challenge pledge to save water and reduce waste.

Each participant who takes the pledge clicks through lists of water-saving tips, such as using refillable water bottles or washing only full loads of laundry.
