Janice Hahn Hits Campaign Trail for Congress

The L.A. City Councilwoman and others seek to take over the 36th Congressional District, which includes Hermosa Beach, now that Jane Harman has officially resigned from the post.

Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn is the first candidate to officially announce her interest in filling the 36th Congressional District seat who resigned last week.

Hahn met with Southern Californians on Sunday at the farmer's market in Mar Vista, where she spoke with Patch about her efforts to secure the congressional seat (see accompanying video).

Harman, who has served the 36th Congressional District since 1992, telephoned Hahn after she decided to relinquish the post and urged her to run for the seat, Hahn said.
