Marques Wyatt Gets Deep at Saint Rocke July 6th

Second to none in the realm of deep house music, Marques Wyatt will be large and in charge up on stage at Saint Rocke Saturday, July 6th.  With a background in jazz, R&B and soul, Marques puts the ‘deep’ in deep house. In the mid 90’s, Marques brought a shifting East Coast house sound to the West Coast. It was the first time anyone on this side of the Mississippi heard what was going on in Chicago and New York. He was able to introduce this sound through celebrated house parties like BBC, MAC’s Garage, Does Your Mama Know, and many more. Since bringing LA up to speed, he has played alongside people like Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, David Morales, Danny Teneglia, King Britt, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs. Miguel Migs was here at Saint Rocke over Memorial Day Weekend for those of you who can’t quite place where you heard the name.

Marques Wyatt has released several tracks and remixes on revered labels such as Om, Strictly Rhythm, King Street, Nervous, and Yoshitoshi. He also started Deep Promotions, a website designed solely to promote electronic and dance music throughout the Greater LA area.
