Miguel Migs at Saint Rocke

Saint Rocke has always had a history of booking stellar acts, but things are being taken up a notch these days as we dive in to the ever-growing world of electronic music. In March, Saint Rocke tested the waters with legendary act Mark Farina, and not only did the show test what Saint Rocke could do with electronic music, but it hit it out of the park. The show was a huge success, and Mark Farina has expressed how great of an experience he had at the venue, and hopes for a return date.

Soon after, Designer Drugs was booked at Saint Rocke, building on this genre Saint Rocke hadn't really touched before. But, there had to be something before. Something big to keep the momentum going until Designer Drugs' June 14th date. What better weekend to book an electronic artist than on Memorial Day Weekend. Hot weather, dancing, and very good music. That's where Miguel Migs came in. Miguel has been around for a long time, collaborating with everyone including original disco diva Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, reggae legends Capleton, Half-Pint and Freddie MacGregor, Meshell Ndegeocello, nu-jazz singer Georg Levin and bossa nova phenomenon Bebel Gilberto. This guy has some history, but the music is fresh; so fresh that he'll be spinning music from his latest album, 'Outside the Skyline'. The new album shows that he is now moving well and truly beyond the limitations of the house scene in which he first made his name. His deep seated love of reggae and dub shines strongly through as well as his passion for classic rock, blues, funk and soul.

We couldn't think of a better way to kick off the Memorial Day Weekend than with Miguel Migs, Friday May 24th. Don't miss this opportunity to see an outstanding DJ in an intimate setting such as Saint Rocke.
