Chevron to Announce STEM Grants at Mixer

Chamber of commerce members from Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach and El Segundo are welcome to attend the Chevron Mixer in the Park Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. Entry for guests of chamber members is $5 per person.

Sponsored by the El Segundo and Manhattan Beach chambers of commerce, the mixer will include the announcing of Chevron's STEM grants to local schools, according to Jill Brunkhardt, Chevron public affairs representative.

Dr. Geoff Yantz, superintendent for the El Segundo Unified School District, and Dr. Mike Matthews, superintendent for the Manhattan Beach Unified School District, will offer brief remarks.

The mixer will offer food, music and raffles, according to a post on the Manhattan Beach chamber's website.

Chevron Employees Park, the location for the mixer, is near the corner of El Segundo Boulevard and Illinois Street in El Segundo.
