As part of its community focus, Grow frequently contributes to local fundraising efforts and activities.---
Only one day remains in GROW- The Produce Shop's"give-back" initiative to raise funds for local schools as the store celebrates its 7th year in business.
Seven percent of any purchase made in the store by a parent or other member of a recipient school will be donated to the school's PTA or PTSA.
The schools set up to receive the funds are Grand View Elementary, Meadows Elementary, Pennekamp Elementary, Pacific Elementary, Robinson Elementary, American Martyrs School, Montessori of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa View and Hermosa Valley schools.
Parents, or anyone wishing to support those schools, must simply inform GROW’s employees of their desire to have seven percent of their purchase donated to a specific school at the register and GROW will take care of the rest, said Josh Harrison of GROW.
At the end of the donation period, which ends on Friday, the totals for each school will be tallied and a check for seven percent of each school’s total sales will be donated to the respective PTAs and PTSAs.
The total give-backs will be posted on GROW’s Facebook page on September 24th.
GROW, owned by Manhattan Beach residents Barry and Kathy Fisher, opened in September of 2006 with a commitment to provide the freshest produce, meat, seafood, dairy and groceries available, with a focus on being as organic and locally sourced as possible.
