MCHS Girls LAX Beats Redondo

The victory is the team's first against Redondo Union since 2009. The teams face off again on Tuesday at Mira Costa at 6 p.m.

For the first time since 2009, the Mira Costa girls lacrosse team defeated Redondo Union 9-6.

In a contest at RUHS on Tuesday, Remi Nemeroff scored three goals for MCHS, with Taylor Pool and Lia Sepanek each adding two goals for. Kim Koltun and Lexi Kurugian put one goal apiece in the net as well.

The Redondo Sea Hawks began struggling after their star player Allison Kotzbach left the game with a knee injury about 10 minutes into the match. In the second half, the team came within four points of the Mustangs with back to back goals, but did not get any closer.

The last time the Mustangs beat the Sea Hawks' was when they ended RUHDS' attempt at a perfect season in 2009 with a 13-9 victory, according to the Daily Breeze.

The two teams will face off again Tuesday at Mira Costa at 6 p.m.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
