Readers' Choice: Nominate Your Favorite Preschool

Whether your child graduated from college long ago or is just ready for Mommy & Me, almost everyone has an opinion on the best preschool in Hermosa Beach.

We have brought back a bigger and better Readers’ Choice, just in time for summer! We've got 25 great categories, all designed to take advantage of our readers’ local expertise.

For this category, we're moving away from food and drink and into the realm of fingerpainting and toy blocks—we want to know who has the best preschool in town. This can be an emotional category because most of us love the schools we choose for our children, but many parents are still in that "looking" stage, and your comments may help them narrow down their choices.

  • Readers' Choice:

Give us your nomination in the comments and we'll put together a poll that allows everyone to vote on the favorites. Nominations will close on July 9, and our poll will be posted on July 23.

Don't forget to sign up for the Hermosa Beach Patch newsletter for a reminder when voting starts!

South Bay Adult School and Mrs. Varey, best preschool choice in Hermosa Beach! One of the best parenting choices I've made. SBAS has given my family a great gift!

We absolutely love Starfish and their teachers. Our daughter couldn't be happier and has made many long-lasting friendships.

South Bay Family Tree (formerly South Bay Adult School) is the best preschool in the South Bay and I would not send my children anywhere else! Both my two older children went through the program and my three-year-old started the program this past school year. The teachers are caring and knowledgeable, and the other parents I have met in the program are wonderful. Although the co-op aspect of the program is not for everyone, it works for my family and we LOVE South Bay family Tree!

We love Starfish! Our daughter has attended for the past two years, and its Waldorf-inspired approach has been the perfect fit for her creative spirit, while the focus on phonics and fine motor skills have done a great job preparing her for kindergarten. She's learned to share and cooperate and express herself beautifully, and she always looks forward to attending. We also love the instructor student ratio of 1:4. Starfish has been a great part of our daughter's life, and Miss Jody has been an incredible resource for parenting tips.

South Bay Adult School's Family Tree is the best!!!! Make life long friends, participate in your child's experiences, remind yourself 'play is learning', and receive informative information about parenting!

Starfish is easily the best in Hermosa! Starfish is a real, neighborhood school, not some huge daycare room.

South Bay Adult School! They have campuses in Manhattan Beach, Redondo (Knob Hill area) and Hermosa. Fantastic programs with fantastic parents involved! Also, SUCH a deal financially!

We couldn't be happier with Starfish! The 1:4 teacher student ratio is almost unheard of for a preschool. We are so fortunate to be a part of the 'Starfish family'!
