Skechers' Friendship Walk Raises Funds for HBEF

Skechers President Michael Greenberg presented checks to the recipients.

Skechers President Michael Greenberg Tuesday presented $586,000 in donation funds raised by participants in the fourth annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk last October.

Lauren Dutko, Skechers spokesperson, said the amount that was raised and donated was nearly $100,00 more than from the previous year's walk.

The Friendship Circle received $250,000 and the remainder was divided among six South Bay educational foundations, including the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation.

Other foundations that received funds include Manhattan Beach Education, Redondo Beach Educational, Torrance Education, El Segundo Education and Peninsula Education.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
