Athletes, Spectators Join in Redondo Nike Invitational

The track meet at Redondo Union High School includes more than 1,200 athletes from 25 different schools.

More than 1,200 athletes from 25 schools competed in the Redondo Nike Track and Field Invitational track and field meet Saturday at Redondo Union High School, including Long Beach Poly, ranked No. 1 in the country. There were several events throughout the day, including distance races and sprints, the pole vault, throws and jumping events.
