Grunion Run 2010

The Season in California officialy opened in March but the collection of spawning grunion is prohibited in April and May. A free-for-all grunion catch starts every summer in June and ends in August.

Hermosa Beach and South Bay residents and visitors are fortunate, as one of the main landing spots for the grunion is at 33rd Street and the Strand.

*Please note that a fishing license is REQUIRED. The Department of Fish & Game will be present to bust unlicensed fish wranglers on occasion.
