Soaring Over Palm Springs Excursion

Upon arrival in Palm Springs, you’ll board the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, a Swiss-made rotating cable car that provides a 10 minute ride lifting us from the desert floor to the 8,500 foot elevation of Mt. San Jacinto giving us views of the Coachella Valley from Joshua Tree National Park to the Salton Sea! Then you will disembark at Mountain Station to have lunch at the Top of the Tram Restaurant overlooking the Valley below. After lunch you will have some time to explore Mountain Station by visiting the gift shop, cocktail lounge and observation areas, or you could view a 22 minute film of the history of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Next you will board the Tramway to return to desert floor and to visit the Palm Springs Air Museum, which is a living tribute to America’s Veterans and the planes they flew. The Palm Springs Air Museum houses one of the world’s largest collections of flying WWII airplanes.
