Kerri Walsh Jennings Practices on the Sands of Hermosa

The former Hermosa Beach resident who now lives in Manhattan Beach returns to the beach north of the HB Pier for some hits and digs with new partner Nicole Branagh before they head to Santa Barbara for the AVP Championships.

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings took to the sands of Hermosa Beach Tuesday for some beach volleyball with her new partner Nicole Branagh, TMZ reports, two days after finishing second in an AVP tournament in Cincinnati.

TMZ has posted 25 photos of the Tuesday workout online.

Jen Kessy and April Ross, who took second place in the London Olympics, defeated Walsh Jennings/Branagh 21-11 and 21-18 Sunday. Both duos qualified for the $225,000 AVP Championships, which will be held on West Beach in Santa Barbara Friday through Sunday.

Walsh Jennings' 3peat gold medalist partner Misty May-Treanor announced her retirement from the sport after the duo won the gold in London in August.

Walsh Jennings and Branagh have played together before, winning their debut event in Dubai in 2008 and a tournament in Phuket, Thailand in 2010.

Branagh placed fifth at the 2008 Olympics with Elaine Youngs.

Tickets for the AVP Championships are available online. They range in price from no charge to $50 per box seat; all seats must be reserved, even the free ones.

Here's a photo album from the Cincinnati tournament.

Freedom is based on a sure identity, that I know who I am, but more importantly WHOSE I am. WhenRead More the LORD sent Moses to deliver His people, that was the beginning of their liberty. They were a particular people to the LORD, whose name is better understand as "He who was, is, and always will be." Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery. Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15) Have you been adopted yet? "
