The coastline was calm and quiet as Hermosa Beach resident Jonathan Sanchez courageously rode along the curve of ocean waves near the Pier early Saturday. The local surfer has been riding waves for about five years, and Patch captured his weekend morning routine.

Not a god made of stone or wood, but the One who made, makes, and evermore makes and gives to us: the LORD took Israel by the hand and led them from bondage to slavery.
Not who you are, but whose you are, makes all the difference between bondage and liberty:
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8: 15)
