Hermosa's Beaches Earn A's, B's

Water quality tests taken along the shore of Hermosa Beach earn high marks.

Water samples at Hermosa's beaches received good grades in the latest round of testing from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, according to the department's website.

The beaches in front of the 26th Street and Herondo Street storm drains both received "A" grades, according to the DPH.

Nevertheless, the beaches 50 yards south of the Hermosa Beach Pier and 50 yards north of the Herondo Street storm drain both received "B" grades.
