Hermosa Valley Summer Reading List

Middle school students at Hermosa Valley have a summer reading assignment.

Middle school students at must read three books over summer break as part of the school's summer reading requirements, according to a notice posted on the school's website.

While sixth-grade students must only read three books from the grade level's suggested reading list, seventh-grade students must read one book from the list of classic books for the seventh grade, as well as two others chosen from the classics list and a suggested reading list.

Eighth-grade students must read two books from their grade level's list of classics, in addition to one book from either the list of classics or the eighth-grade suggested reading list. In addition, they must complete a book report for one of the options, as well as do at least three small projects or reports on each of the other two books. (See attached .pdf for the book report form and list of additional projects.)
