Chamber Seeks Subcommittee Members

Teams to study the PCH-Aviation, upper Pier Avenue, and Pier Plaza areas.

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce has decided to establish three subcommittees to study different areas in the city where businesses operate.

These areas include the PCH-Aviation corridor, upper Pier Avenue and Pier Plaza-Hermosa Avenue.

The teams were established in an effort to ensure that allocated chamber funds are spent "wisely" in each of these areas, according to a notice that the chamber's interim Executive Director Maureen Hunt e-mailed Monday.

Group members "will have a more direct voice in the way chamber dollars are being spent to benefit your business directly," the notice said.

Local business owners interested in joining a subcommittee should e-mail Richard O'Reilly of Spyder Surf at richard@spydersurf.com. He is the chamber's Vice Chair of civic affairs.
