Library to Launch Teen Space

A dedication ceremony for the Hermosa Beach Public Library's new Teen Territory space is set for next week.

A new teen section of the will be revealed to the community Sept. 8, according to the county.

The County of Los Angeles Public Library and Hermosa Beach's Friends of the Library will host a dedication ceremony to celebrate the new Teen Territory space of the local library, the county announced Monday.

The celebration will kick off at 3:30 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting and end at 5 p.m.

The Teen Territory space was made possible through funds from the Friends of the Library and the Los Angeles County Library provided a matching grant.

Friends of the Library is a local volunteer group that supports programs for the library and community.

The group celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009.
