Nonprofits Awarded Fiesta Hermosa Funds

The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce presents a total of $18,040 to five Hermosa Beach nonprofits that provided volunteers at the Memorial Day fiesta.

Five Hermosa Beach nonprofit organizations have each earned thousands of dollars for volunteering at the during Memorial Day weekend.

The presented the , Women’s Club, Hermosa Beach Art Walk, Hermosa Beach Education Foundation and  with $3,608 checks during a City Council meeting Tuesday night—totaling $18,040.

Each year the Chamber of Commerce offers 10 Hermosa Beach nonprofit groups an opportunity to volunteer at the Memorial Day or Labor Day Fiesta Hermosa’s charity beer and wine gardens. Then the chamber shares part of its funds collected with each group.

The Chamber of Commerce took over the Fiesta Hermosa events in the late 1970s as a way to generate funds for the organization and community.
