Volunteers Clean Beach for Earth Month

The cleanup is part of a celebration hosted by Redondo Beach's Public Works Department and the SEA Lab on Saturday.

Hundreds of people showed up to celebrate Earth Day at the SEA Lab next door in Redondo Beach on Saturday—and some ventured to Hermosa Beach to clean up trash at the local coastline.

Attendees of the free event were treated to arts and crafts, dancers with costumes made of trash, hair cuts, composting lessons and yoga.

People were also invited to trade in disposable plastic bags for reusable, recyclable bags.
