The group provides, for the City Council, an updated emergency preparedness plan and help with promoting the theme of emergency preparedness to the community. The board also coordinates emergency response volunteers and makes grant applications for emergency preparedness revenues. </p> <p>Members must be residents of the city and will serve four-year terms.
