The Public Works Department is responsible for caring and improving the local environment.

The department…More heads upkeep for the following public facilities:</p> <ul> <li>Parks</li> <li>Medians</li> <li>Sewers</li> <li>Storm drains</li> <li>Street Lighting</li> <li>City-owned buildings</li> </ul> <p>Key citywide services are also provided by the department, including street maintenance, street sanitation and traffic safety.</p> <p>The City Engineering Department is also housed in the Public Works Department.</p> <p>The Public Works Department Director is Richard Morgan and he can be reached at (310) 318-0211.</p> <p>Hours for applying for public works permits: 7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. on regular business days.</p>
