I am a trained journalist and freelancer, covering sports, music and arts & entertainment. Unabashed news junky and avid follower of all things political, I'm currently a full-time editor for Demand Media, and have worked on projects for USATODAY.com, Salon.com and National Geographic. I worked briefly in public relations as a PR coordinator for Semester at Sea, blogging and tweeting from 12 countries on four continents. I graduated from The University of Alabama, where I studied journalism and political science.
