Hermosa Beach Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

A Hermosa Beach man is in jail in Nashville, Tennessee, after being arrested on felony drug charges.

Jamie O’Kain, 36, and Brandon Dorsky, 30, of Los Angeles, are each charged with felony drug possession within 1,000 feet of a drug-free school zone and criminal trespassing for refusing to leave the hotel they were staying in, according to a Nashville Police Department news release. The two were reportedly on their way to Bonnaroo, a music festival.

A Holiday Inn employee at 12:30 a.m. Thursday flagged down law enforcement to say two men were smoking marijuana, making a commotion and refusing to leave their room after being told to do so.

When they approached the room, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. O'Kain answered the door and admitted there was a small amount of marijuana in the room, saying he would accept those charges against him. He also gave police permission to search the room.

During the room search, police found ten grams of cocaine, 207.5 grams of marijuana, 49.3 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 5.5 Adderall pills without a prescription and 22 tramadol pain pills prescribed to a John Dorksy.

O’Kain is in jail in lieu of a $228,000 bond; Dorsky remains jailed in lieu of a $297,000 bond.
